Toursource Travel is owned and operated by Rick Smith and specializes in entertainment industry travel, specifically geared toward the touring artist and their entourage.
Rick spent sixteen years on the road touring and working on the crew side of the business. He has worked as a Tour Manager, Artist agent with an artist management firm, coach driver, entertainment trucking company manager and finally; ran the booking and management side of one of Nashville's established coach leasing companies.
This unique perspective of the road and road life gives Toursource an added advantage that you won't find at another travel agency. We know what it's like to live out of a suitcase 250 plus days a year. We know what it's like to take a break from showers at a venue and the confines of a 6 .5' X 3.5' bunk on a bus. We understand that you don't have wheels and being close to "stuff" is paramount for an off day hotel.
As a Tour Manager you can rest assured that we understand your needs...
1) A need to check-in early! And early to a tour is 10:00AM not noon and certainly not 3:00PM.
2) A need to park at a bare minimum 45 feet of bus (and possibly more if I have a trailer or more than one coach).
3) A need to be able to run a generator at the hotel.
4) My drivers need to sleep during the day so they can drive that night after the show. Therefore, I cannot have them in rooms next to the vending machines, the swimming pool, the housekeeper's office/laundry etc.
5) And most importantly I do not want to drive 20-30 minutes from the hotel to the venue.
